Workshops and speaking events
I love connecting with people through zines! I'm available to speak and lead workshops for people of all ages at in-person events and remote/online.
I'm happy to speak on zine-related topics like personal expression, creative process, and community. My workshops are hands-on and beginner-friendly, so participants can dig in and make a zine.
Please contact me if you'd like me to meet with your group.
Past events
Zine workshop at New School Montessori (February 2025)
This workshop was an introduction to zines for year 4 students. I shared examples of zines and demonstrated how to fold an 8-page mini zine. Students had the bulk of the time to make zines on the topics of their choice.
Zine-making station at Wernersville Public Library (September 2024)
I led a zine-making station at the library's fall fair fundraiser. The event was for all ages but the zine makers were all young creators! The library supplied collage materials, glue sticks, scissors, and paper. I showed children how to fold 8-page mini zines, and then they filled the pages however they wanted to.

This was a beginner-friendly workshop to make mini zines.
Guest speaker at Elizabethtown College (November 2023, November 2024)
I was invited to speak to students in a graphic design course. We talked about inspiration and processes for making zines. I presented some of my zines as examples as well as examples from zinesters I follow online.
Zine workshop for Sarabande Writing Labs (November 2022)
I led a workshop about making lists as a way to brainstorm zine ideas. The second half of the workshop was time for participants to create an 8-page mini zine. The workshop was virtual (over Zoom) and open to everyone.
